Our History
The Manistee County Fair has long been a proud tradition in Onekama, Michigan, bringing together families, farmers, and the local community to celebrate agriculture, hard work, and hometown spirit. For generations, the fair has served as a place where people gather to showcase livestock, share skills, enjoy entertainment, and create lasting memories.
What began as a small community event has grown into a beloved annual fair featuring livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, grandstand events, carnival attractions, and community activities. Despite its growth over the years, the fair continues to stay true to its roots—supporting local youth, agriculture, and community involvement.
Today, the Manistee County Fair remains a cornerstone event for the region, welcoming visitors from across Michigan and beyond. With Free Parking and Free Entry, the fair continues its tradition of being accessible and family-friendly for everyone.
Join us in celebrating our history and be part of the tradition that continues year after year at the Manistee County Fair.
